I still owe you the last part of Malta. The beautiful fishing village of Marsaxlokk with the colourful boats bobbing up and down in the water, the oh so crowded Sunday market which is nothing more or less than any other market at any other town. Lots of vendors selling anything from electrical appliances to clothes, fruits and veggies, candies, local sweets. Sadly had no time to sit and enjoy some local catch, our bus was waiting for us.

Nice lady was our tour guide, teaching us some maltese words, which were easy for me, exactly, ok, almost exactly like arabic. As a matter of fact the maltese language is basically old arabic.

Amazing view , and more pics of the Blue Grotto. Not a good idea though to travel with pensioners, by the time they got off the bus with their walking aids etc., it was almost time to get back. But hey, everyone will get old sometime, so just tried to find a short cut and climbed over some rocks to get to the viewing point before them. :)

The last day was the best. Bit too windy, the sea was rough, but our boat did leave on time. In no time we were at Comino, the beautiful little island of paradise.

I was too busy trying to fix my camera ( must have pressed something and couldn’t take pics), and when I looked up I was speechless. The most incredible blue and transparent water I have ever seen.
Took of my sunglasses, thinking it is just through the lenses, but no…it was amazing.

The best moment of the trip.

Got to a private beach, a guy in an old car took us there. The beach that everyone visits is a tiny plot with hardly any place to sit. Luckily or not (not quite sure) the weather was getting worse, windier and windier, so the boats were leaving and we had the whole place all to ourselves.

Our Comino Sunset cruise, wasn’t exactly a sunset one, since we left earlier than planned, watching the sun dip into the sea behind us.

Once again a short trip, wish we had more time. A mother and daughter trip.

Another appetiser , that teases your appetite, makes you want more. Perhaps one day….

Feels like yesterday. And I am all packed and ready to go, again.

It was a tough week.

Son came tumbling down the stairs.
Found bugs eating our logs up in the mountain.
Gynaecologist tells me never to worry about getting pregnant, it will never, ever happen again. Mean guy. And I am too young for this. Why me???

So I drove up to my beloved mountain, hugged my tree till the tears came rolling down my cheeks…and I cried and cried till there was nothing left.

Time to go.

See Ya
