Instead of….

morninglake

Early morning by the lake. Foggy, yet amazingly beautiful. Ducks are waiting for their usual bread breakfast, the hotel guests provide them with plenty. Itching to get out to take some photos. Yet I can’t. Not yet. We’ve got homework. Mind mapping. Right now about Aquincum. Sorry, change of plan. Decided to go with ancient Rome instead. Can’t seem to be able to log into their google drive, where all the info is stored about their recent trip there.

Technology is great, I welcome it wholeheartedly, but passwords, log ins drive me crazy. I think they are playing tricks on me. How would it be possible than that a site I have been registered to, logged into zillions of times refuses to let me in. No problem, I know the answer to the security question, that is “ What is the name of my son:?”. Oh yes, I know this, exclaim with a sigh of relief.
Mishal. The name of my son is Mishal. Wrong. Apparently that is not the name of my first and only born son. I even have a birth certificate, civil id, medical id to prove it. But to no avail, the site insists that I am wrong. TV, phone and internet bill remains unpaid. Let’s just hope that the tenants will not mind the lack of these services.

Next one is the bird feeder project. Made a bird feeder with Mish, following instructions on the Youtube. Actually I was quite proud of myself, even if only a knife, a plastic Coke Zero bottle and a chopstick was needed for it.
He must observe the feeder, document the types of feed he uses, the types of birds that visit the place, frequency, eating habits…
A difficult task when you have a little fox roaming around in your garden. Instead of a biology project it might turn into a bloody thriller. So far, not a single bird in sight.

Had an amazing week, gorgeous sunny days, that start with fog and end with hot frothy milk with honey by the fire. At least for Mish, I go with the adult version of it in the form of Baileys on the rocks.

Instead of cleaning windows opted for relaxing in the sun in the hammock.

Instead of searching for ankle boots with low heels ( believe me I am not type of girl who loves clothes shopping, find it tiring and extremely boring ) took long walks in the woods, places I have never been to before.

Instead of researching for my new, never before written novel, spent time in the jacuzzi . Before you have steamy images popping into your mind, must say it was with Mish, who loves changing the colours on the colour wheel while nonstop talking about something oh so important in the school.
Instead of gathering the leaves that now cover the entire garden, spent time in the steam and swam as much as Í could.

We had a birthday to celebrate as well. My son turned 9. Had 4 birthday cakes with 36 candles to blow out, many birthday wishes, loads of presents and a party for his friends, another for the family.
We hugged and kissed and managed to have 3 quite decent pictures of us taken. Overall it was great.

I am blessed.

In less than 5 weeks I might have my first ever skiing lesson in Austria. Not much time to get back to shape. Off to work out. You do that too!
