So here you are, sitting at the Ritz, pretty relaxed, sipping your first glass of red wine in ages, \u201cOne day I fly away\u2026.\u201d playing in the background -they have a DJ playing songs customers ask for – and think that you are ok now.<\/p>\n

The horrible pain subsided,I can breathe again without the sharp pain at every single breath. We did the flight from Budapest to Lisbon, minimal wait at the airport, quick , though a bit bumpy ride to Funchal. Snacked on delicious macaroons , calories don\u2019t count if you are at 10000 m above the ground. Had the business section all to ourselves, even managed to dose off for a while.<\/p>\n

Quick change of words with a taxi driver. Him insisting that all 3 suitcases will fit in the trunk, we believed the opposite. Did not have the patience of watching him play jigsaw puzzle with our stuff, opted for a bigger one, which got all the drivers upset.<\/p>\n

The customer is always right. They should know better.<\/p>\n

The house was ready, Emilia still fixing a few things\u2026.great to be back.
\nFinally our house sign was up. So far I only saw it on a photo Louisa sent me.
\nIt is beautiful. Great to have a name for our villa.<\/p>\n

Villa frangipani. Yes, that gorgeous smelling flower.
\nThinking long term. In 10-20-30 years time everyone in our family will be calling it like this instead of Villa 41.
\nI so would like to see lots of kids here happily running around. More kids, more noise, more life.<\/p>\n

By 12 we were done with grocery shopping, his Dad even bought the PS4 as promised.<\/p>\n

Quick lunch, caldo verde with bolo de caco for me, rice and salmon for them.<\/p>\n

The sun was shining, so warm, the way it warmed my bed\u2026could not resist it.
\nThe minute my head hit the pillow, I passed out. Woke up 4 hours later. The sun was still shining. Moved to the terrace and turned my face against the setting sun.<\/p>\n

Makes you realise how much you need it. Winter may be beautiful, but the short hours of daylight, the clouds, the lack of sunshine does get you depressed.<\/p>\n

This is just what I need, mega dosage of Vitamin D, thought as I was savouring the last rays of it, snapping pictures at the same time.<\/p>\n

The sky turned crimson, then purple, slowly darkening to black. It was time to go down.<\/p>\n

Was content, till my phone started ringing. Ignored it at the beginning, gave up after some time.
\nCouldn’t believe what he was saying. I mean I knew about it, he told me, but why does he have to call me to let me know that his daughter was born, beats me.
\nSending me loads of pictures of her. Really beautiful baby girl. But then again, all baby girls are beautiful.
\nAt some point in my life he meant a lot. Maybe we met at the wrong time, wrong place, or maybe we should not have met at all.<\/p>\n

It is the past, moved on long, long time ago.<\/p>\n

So why did it upset me this much??? Could it be that he succeeded at something I can\u2019t seem to be able to?<\/p>\n

Today is another day. A bright and happy day. That is full of possibilities.
